Lets start with a grate big THANK YOU! piss and vinegar(me) came to arrowhead when i was 12. I stayed almost two years and hated every minute of it! I ran away three times and “played the group game”G2. i pushed for group releases for people i did not like and drove the new group crazy till they finally voted for my group release just to get rid of me. like most residence i learned what to say and how to put on a better show. a complete waste of every ones time! two weeks after going home i took the rap for a motorcycle my cousin had stolen so that was more proof i learned nothing from arrowhead. before starting my 18 month i.d.o.c. sentence. i got the grate joy of spending the week back at arrowhead. every staff member told me i was useless in one way or another accept for Mr.Collins. he told me that nobody will ever have my back like i got my own and i am responsible for myself! after two weeks in i.d.o.c. my girlfriend sent me a letter saying she could not wait for me. every soul on earth had gave up on me i had no one and i mean nobody at all. every day i thought about what Mr,Collins had told me and one day what he said just clicked! I was paroled after 8 months and was homeless just days after. at arrowhead i learned how to fill job apps, tax forms and how to conduct myself during an interview.(i have been hired for every job that i have ever applied for) i also learned how to work on cars, weld and how to read and make blue prints at arrowhead. so i got myself two jobs as a welder and working in a auto body shop. parole said i had to go to school so i did that too.i was 15.my girlfriend now wife seen the change in me and took me back and a few years later at 17 i started my family. i dropped out of school to work (i did go back and finished so Mr.Brown wheres my$100?). thanks to arrowheads beautiful lawn i had a grate work ethic even when i did not care for the job. in 93 at arrowhead we made sandbags during J.A. I didnt know it but i learned how to run a business. now at 32 i own and run two auto repair shops in Macomb. because of arrowhead i am a grate dad and have a grate family and am respected by my peers! I had no clue at the time what i was receiving from arrowhead. I have meet up with some of group 2s members from my time and arrowhead had the same affect on all four of them! i learned everything i needed for life as an adult from arrowhead.i am still full of piss and vinegar. my point is it is a fact that arrowhead ranch in coal valley changes lives for the better and i would like to say thank you and keep up the good work and Mr.Collins if it was not for them guitar lessons i would of never heard you.thank you so much!
