Arrowhead’s Dynamic Duo

They have a passion for helping at risk youth. A husband and wife who have
dedicated thirty five years of their lives to reaching out to teenagers at
Arrowhead Ranch in Coal Valley.

Robert and Roxie Muskeyvalley are a calming influence. Robert is a therapist
who talks to teens about  successes and challenges in life. He is a friend,
mentor, and encourager. He says at risk teens long for people to speak to them
in a kind way. They need to be reminded that the things they are going through
are not forever.

Robert’s words of wisdom do sink in. One teen says the encouragement he has
received from Mr. Muskeyvalley helps to keep him going.

Roxie Muskeyvalley is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone. She
is the program assistant and the first person most teens meet when they enter
Arrowhead Ranch. She says youth just need someone to show them love, attention,
and give them direction. Her smile lights up a room.

Roxie has received numerous awards in recognition for years of dedicated
service to youth. She started working at Arrowhead Ranch in June of 1976. A few
months later, Robert went to work there.

Sixteen year old Andrea says she has never been as close to anybody as she
has to Robert and Roxie Muskeyvalley, the dynamic duo who have a love for youth.
