Aftercare Services

The goal of Aftercare is to help a young man or woman maintain a successful adjustment to returning home following a positive release from Arrowhead Ranch. Through Aftercare Services, the former resident is assisted up to six months with family, peer or personal problems. This assistance comes from the Aftercare Coordinator. Residents received additional support from their former group members when they return to Arrowhead Ranch for visits.

Aftercare services are provided by Arrowhead Ranch at no cost to the placing agency, include:

  • Maintain close contact with resident for a period of six months.
  • Offer education assistance for obtaining G.E.D.
  • Grant educational scholarships to those individuals who are seeking continued education or vocational training.
  • Bring back adolescents who are experiencing problems in the community or family group.
  • Counsel youth and family when problems arise.
  • Maintain communications with referring agencies.
  • Help support the young man or woman by accompanying them at community activities.
  • Provide transportation assistance for the resident during throughout the duration of the aftercare period.
